$5 1881 PCGS MS65

We are pleased to have purchased this lovely piece of a date and grade we have never owned or handled before!

We do rank this coin as a 65.7. Both sides are amazingly clean overall-even using a strong glass. There are a few MICROSCOPIC copper stains scattered around. These are NOT a negative and PROVE this coins total ORIGINALITY. A decent luster shows off an even gold color. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 14, NGC 62, CAC 2 (that’s a powerful statement as to how these come). PCGS has graded NO coins higher. CAC has stickered only one. The last one to sell in a major auction brought $4,600.00 06/09 and was NOT CAC. This is a great coin for a Type set looking for something less common.
