Deep and glittering mirrors cover both sides. Only some very faint lines can be detected with a glass. The is a bit textured yet the mirrors still are smooth. There are NO spots. The color are orange by the rims and deeper yellow in the centers. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have FULL strike. The eye appeal is spectacular!
ONLY 42 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 1, NGC 2, CAC 1 (PCGS/NGC have graded 3 coins total higher). The other coin last sold in 09/2008 for $33,350.00 Goldberg. This coin has been off the market for many years and is a different piece. Unless major collections come out, as time goes on, Proof Gold has only become harder to locate. We can NOT stress enough how loud opportunity is knocking here.
