$5 1880 PCGS MS65

Here is a date and grade that is hardly ever seen (especially with a bean)! Fairly clean surfaces have nothing worse then a few scattered light ticks and frost breaks. A very good luster shows off the “old time” original toning that is all over. The color is a rich gold with highlights of pale copper. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is pleasing! PCGS 21, NGC 25, CAC 2. There are just 6 coins graded higher. The current Collectors Universe Value is $4,750.00. Hard to believe that after 35+ years of operations, this is the FIRST GEM 1880 $5 we have ever owned or handled.
