Finding ANY rare circ gold piece in totally ORIGINAL condition just does not happen much anymore. When we saw this coin it was love at first sight! We assure you, the quality is all there and then some.
A few trivial ticks can be seen-but NONE are large or are distracting. Overall, the surfaces appear clean. Traces of semi-prooflike mirrors can be seen as well as a light luster. There are NO spots or discolorations. Both sides are a beautiful and totally ORIGINAL deep gold with deep orange gold highlights. Miss Liberty and the details are very well struck. There is no visible wear on the highpoints. The eye appeal is gorgeous!
ONLY 1432 were ever minted. PCGS 3, NGC 3, CAC 2. The last 1876 to appear in auction was back in 2006 (eight years ago)!. There is NOTHING graded between AU58 and MS62 (there is an MS62+). PCGS has possibly graded only 9 coins higher-after 25+ years of operations. Of course there are no accurate price guides for this coin. If you collect $5 Libs, or just like rare gold, this coin is one heck of an opportunity!
