$5 1860S PCGS AU50

This date is not known to come nice. The highest graded is a MS62. There are ONLY 30 pieces certified by PCGS in all grades!

This is more of a typical circ $5. First, it is NOT hacked up or a dog. Under a glass you see a ticks and a small cut in the left obverse field. There are a few lines, but the coins actual faint luster diminishes them. To the naked eye, the coin does look fine. Miss Liberty and the details are surprisingly sharply struck. There is NO discoloration on the highpoint. The color of this piece is deep gold. If you know your early S Mint Lib gold, you WILL be impressed with this coin.

PCGS 4, NGC 3, CAC 1. This is why we are calling for the CDN to go away: it values an AU 50 at $4,200.00. The last two appearances of ANY in major auctions were 2004 Heritage $5,175.00 for a PCGS piece. AN NGC coin brought $6,600.00 Stacks in 1995! The coin we are offering is fresh to the market.
