This is NOT one of those “conserved” or messed with pieces. PCGS definitely has MUCH tougher standards for these coins. Both sides are prooflike and have tons of luster and flash. There some light scattered lines (looks like die polishing to us) and ticks mostly visible with a glass. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have remarkable full strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic!
The great rarity of this piece in MS is undisputed. PCGS 1, NGC 2. We doubt you will ever see a finer 44D!
