$5 1809/8 PCGS AU55

After going through probably 50+ boxes of coins, we finally found a choice early gold piece at the show. This coin clearly is  a choice AU! Outstanding surfaces are surprisingly clean and ans super smooth. Even using a strong glass to look around you will NOT find anything!  A moderate luster enhances the deep “old time” gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and every detail are well struck. For accuracy, we mention tow tiny ticks on her cheek. Also, ALL wear is light and there certainly are NO high point discolorations. The eye appeal is really nice! PCGS 29, NGC 29, CAC 6. Here is a bit of a shocker, the ONLY CAC coin we could find that ever sold via auction was an NGC piece. That coin brought $10,201.00 01/2013. You won’t find any more sold proof as to how rare these really are then those numbers. Its easy to see how as time goes on, these will continue to increase in value as so few actually exist!
