Looks like this coin was struck more than once. It looks like the strike was so hard the planchet actually became concave. Still, this is a spectacular GEM!
Booming mirrors are the highlight of this GEM. They are super deep, crystal clear, clean,and have incredible reflectivity. There are a couple small toning stains, other wise there are no issues at all. Both sides have fabulous colors of antique blue/violet/tangerine. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and have strong frost. The eye appeal is neat!
Only 725 coins were minted. PCGS 18, NGC 19. PCGS has graded only 2 coins higher.
