3CS 1860 PCGS PR65

We never ever see these bad boys offered in PR65. These are famous for never coming nice-which is probably why there are so few GEM’s.

We rank this coin as solid for the grade. It has a few minor planchet imperfections that can be seen ONLY under a glass. Overall, the mirrors are surprisingly strong, clean, clear, and they do have bold reflectivity. A mellow hint of golden brown color is splashed around. All of the details are well struck-although there is slight weakness on the some of the stars on the reverse. The eye appeal IS very pleasing though.

1000 were originally minted, but many were melted due to poor sales of PR sets at the time. PCSG 6, NGC 10. PCGS has graded NONE higher. There are NO auction records for any PCGS PR 65’s that we can find. We are pleased to have the chance to re offer this stopper to the collecting public!
