This is one area (PR 3CS) we know as well as anyone. This coin is a terrific GEM!
Highly unusual deep mirrors do reveal clash marks and some light die polishing lines. Overall, the mirrors are clean and have powerful reflectivity. The obverse has a fantastic ORIGINAL gold/pale forest green/blue combo while the reverse is more neon blue/gold. All of the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is beautiful!
ONLY 800 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 16, NGC 21, CAC 10 (we do believe this coin is represented 2x). The last one to sell in major auction brought $3,450.00 06/2011 Stacks. We can not stress enough how rare and UNDERvalued these early Proofs are.
