3CS 1858 PCGS PR66

This piece probably sat some where totally undisturbed since it left the Mint. Save for the toning, it is “as struck”.

Using a strong glass the ONLY thing you will see are mint made striations (die polishing lines) and very minor clashing. The mirrors are fully deep, crystal clear, clean, and have powerful reflectivity that makes this coin look like a little jewel. Both sides have a killer original electric original soft navy color. Every detail is sharply struck and have light frost. The eye appeal is sensational!

It is estimated the mintage was 300 pieces. Like most other 3CS PR’s in the 50’s, you hardly ever see this date and grade offered. PCGS 9, NGC 19. PCGS has graded NONE higher. Important to note: the last time one appeared in major auction, it sold for $11,213.00 12/05 Heritage-that’s 3+ years ago!!!! Opportunity knocks louder than ever here!
