3CS 1854 PCGS PR64

In the same deal as the 1857S 25C. This coin too came from the same collector who for many years kept it raw. At the Long Beach Show he submitted it for grading for the first time ever. It was submitted to PCGS ONLY once and not to NGC at all. The collector was expecting a PR65. We do think it is a WORLD CLASS SUPER HIGH END PR64.9 for sure.

Amazing deep, crystal clear, clean, and incredibly reflective mirrors make this smaller piece stand out in a BIG way. Using a powerful glass, all you can detect are a few trivial lines on the obverse. We have seen worse in PR65 holders! Both sides are drenched in a mind boggling mix of electric forest green/blue/rose colors. You do NOT have to tilt the coin to see the wild colors. Plus, every detail is needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is tremendous!

We must re-emphasize this coin did NOT come out of any holder, nor has it been in any recent auction (or any auction for that matter). PCGS 8, NGC 3. PCGS has ONLY Two coins higher (the finest-a 66 in our LAW Collection). NGC has graded 3 in PR66.
