We really LOVE this coins qualities and eye appeal. It is the epitome of what a true GEM Should be!
Stunning glass like mirrors have no problems. Only with a strong glass can you see light die polishing-which is Mint made and does not effect the grade. The mirrors are also extremely clean, clear, and have killer reflectivity. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and have strong frost. This coin definitely is eye popping!
Only 960 minted. PCGS 12, NGC 5, CAC 3. PCGS has graded only 4 coins higher. A CAC piece sold in 10/11 for $978.00 (not this coin). That’s ridiculous cheap for an obsolete denomination from 1871!
