$3 1885 PCGS MS65

This superb quality coin has been a friend of Legend for many years. We placed it with a collector a few years ago who suddenly needed to raise some cash. Buying back a coin like this is easy!

At first quick glance, this coin looks like a proof. The mirrors are deep and are exceptionally flashy. A few very trivial ticks and lines are visible. There is NO haze and the mirrors have great clarity. Both sides are a beautiful and totally original pale orange gold color. There are NO spots. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is stunning!

ONLY 801 were ever minted. PCGS 12, NGC 4, CAC 3. PCGS has graded possibly 6 coins higher (NONE are CAC). We’re not 100% convinced the real pop is 12. We think its more like 6-8. The last PCGS piece to sell in auction was a NOT CAC. It brought $27,025.00 01/2015 in a very weak sale. We bough this coin back in 2013 for $31,225 and placed it immediately. We think this date (and grade) offers huge upside potential especially in this market. Opportunity can’t knock any harder!
