$3 1877 PCGS AU55

$22,500.00

Until you collect $3 gold pieces you do nto realize the great rarity of this date. Only 1468 were minted-and these are impossible to locate.

Typical to all low mintage $3, this coin has traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. The surfaces do have light chatter-but you need a glass to see the tiny ticks. There are NO spots or discolorations. The color is sort of a two tone yellow gold with orange highlights by the devices. Miss Liberty and the details are very well struck. The eye appeal is fabulous!

We are pleased to offer this coin as it has THREE major claims for quality. #1 its graded by PCGS. #2 it was crossed from NGC (comes with the tag). #3 CAC also agreed with the grade. You can’t get any better insurance than all 3 of those groups agreeing!

The great rarity of this coin can not be exaggerated. PCGS 11, NGC 6. Do not let that fool you, as mentioned before these are impossible to locate! The last one to appear at a major public auction SOLD for $23,000.00 1/06 Heritage. An NGC coin sold for $20,413.00 05/08 Heritage. Opportunity knocks loud for the serious $3 Gold Collector!
