$3 1854D PCGS AU55

We recently bought this coin back from someone who changed direction in their collecting. We were thrilled. This is a coin you can search years for and NEVER find one that’s nice or anywhere as nice as this. We can not stress enough the tremendous opportunity this coin offers to any serious $3 collector (in fact buy this and the 1877 and you have two of the toughest coins of set knocked out)!

We LOVE everything about this coin. Its a GEM AU because its high end and just oozes with complete originality. There are NO major problems of any kind any where. The surfaces have light “old time” toning but do show off a little luster. The color is a deep gold. There is no question this coin is totally original and has never been dipped or monkeyed with. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and do appear boldly. The eye appeal is great!

Only 1120 pieces were minted. PCGS 19, NGC 16, CAC 1. To date, PCGS possibly has graded only 12 pieces higher. The last one of these to appear at a major auction sold for $51,750.00 06/2008 Heritage. We are pleased to own and offer the collecting public this GEM AU specimen.
