Hard to believe, this is the first PR67 we have handled in many years. These do come around, and when they do have not liked what we have seen. This piece was love at first sight!
This piece really does border on sheer perfection. There are no impairments anywhere. Even if you use a really strong glass, there is a partial thin and really hard to find line (does not hurt the grade at all). Both sides do have deep and highly reflective mirrors. There is no haze or toning. This coin has not been dipped. All of the details are as well struck as you will ever see. The eye appeal is terrific!
PCGS 102, NGC 98, CAC 50. PCGS has graded only 6 coins PR67+. The last record we could of one selling was back in 01/2104. That coin brought $3,055.00. This piece will make a terrific addition to any GEM set, Plus, we feel its an underrated date.
