We bought this coin from a dealer who kept it in his personal collection for many years. The quality is all there and then some!
Most important-the strike. You do NOT need a glass to see the sharply struck details. Miss Liberty’s head is genuinely fully struck. Only one or two rivets in the shield are weak. Overall, the strike is fine. The surfaces are smooth and have NO problems. Some light golden brown covers parts of both sides. The eye appeal is VERY nice!
PCGS 19, NGC 6, CAC 1 (they did bean 3 MS65’s). The last one of these to sell in major auction did so 4 years ago and brought $71,300.00 (B+M). The next step up will cost you at least $150,000.00-if you can ever find one!
