One of theses has not crossed the auction block in a little over 4 years. Now that’s really rare! Fortunately, this coins quality was worth the wait! We just noticed this is the FIRST 19D PCGS MS65FH we have ever owned.
No question this coin is a very solid to high end MS65FH. Both sides are amazingly clean, smooth, semi satiny, and lustrous. The reverse has a small area below the eagle where there are some light toning spots. Overall, the color is white with a hint of pale gold. Miss Liberty and the details actually ARE fully struck. You do not need a glass to see the full rivets in the shield. The eye appeal is wonderful!
One of the quieter major rarities/stoppers for the series. PCGS 9, NGC 6, CAC 1. As mentioned before. NO GEM PCGS has been to auction since 2005-and back then one sold for $32,000.00. This will make a tremendous addition to any GEM set.
