This coin is absolutely amazing and is “as struck”.
The surfaces are beyond pristine, they are “as struck at the Mint perfect”! Some how this coin has been carefully stored for 100 years. There are no ticks or lines, or nothing. A strong booming luster shows off superb and totally original pewter toning. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have completely full crisp strikes. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 3, NGC 1, CAC 4. This coin is from the Gardner sale where it sold too cheap. We were ready to pay $7,500.00 hammer (thinking that was a bargain). Between the pops only being 3 , this coins remarkable quality, and the fact its 100 years old, we think it should be a $10,000.00 coin. Time will correct this.
