Not much keeps this beautiful coin from being a full blown MS67!
To the naked eye there are NO imperfections anywhere. Even with a strong glass its hard to find any. There is a small hidden obverse tick-which is what might keep this from MS67. The surfaces do offer a satiny texture and a strong luster. A wonderful moderate layer of blue/purple/golden brown colors circle and swirl all over both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are super frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is great!
PCGS 11, NGC 7, CAC 3. There are only 2 MS66+ graded by PCGS (and 6 MS67’s). The last one of these to sell in major auction brought $5,175.00 1/2011-the same price as a regular MS66! An MS66 sold for $16,100.00 08/2011 Heritage. These definitely do not appear daily!
