25C 1875CC PCGS MS65

$50,000.00

This is the ONLY PCGS GEM available to collectors. PCGS has graded 2 and the other is impounded in the fabulous Gene Gardner Collection. It is well known among Seated specialists this coin is the finer of the PCGS specimens. NGC has graded 5 coins.

A true GEM in every respect. Both sides have fabulous surfaces that only under a strong glass have any chatter (VERY minor). A the luster is decent and nicely shows off the moderate mix of blue/green that opens into sandy deeper (but not dark) golden brown colors. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have light creamy frost. The reverse is really perfect and we grade it MS66. The eye appeal is really nice!

PCGS 2, NGC 5. There are NONE higher by any service. In MS64 there are not many either: PCGS 6, NGC 5. The last PCGS MS65 coin sold for $42,550.00 nearly two years ago in a Goldberg auction. ALL of the published bids we have seen for this date in MS64 and higher are stupid cheap. Since these coins do not trade often, it is impossible to have an accurate “bid” for them. We think its is a disgrace that the CDN even dare publish a number.

This coin was one of the favorites of the collector who owns the Pickering Creek CC Collection. We’re sure it will thrill its next owner equally.
