When ever we can, buy ANYTHING that’s a GEM PR from 1862. The date is much rarer than most people realize. This coin is SUPERB!
The holder has more lines and scuffs then the coin. Only with a strong glass can you find any lines/teenie ticks. The mirrors are amazingly deep, have strong clarity, and have a stunning “liquid” look. They are also highly reflective. Some light and totally ORIGINAL golden toning, frames the peripheries. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted a bright white and have needle sharp strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!
ONLY 550 were ever minted! PCGS 2, NGC 3, CAC 4. This is the ONLY PCGS PR65+ graded (CAC has done NONE higher). PCGS has graded 2 coins higher. The last PR65 Cameo PCGS/NON CAC sold at auction in 2008. These are VERY rare and UNDERvalued coins!
