This is a terrfic example of a tremendously UNDERrated elusive date. We only buy the + coins when the + really means it!
At first glance you think 14S. The surfaces are clean overall and have a semi-satiny texture. Both sides are illuminated by a full booming luster. The color is a totally ORIGINAL orange/pale greenish gold. There are NO spots. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is great!
PCGS 975, NGC 541, CAC 30 (only 5 are beaned higher). In MS65+ PCGS has graded only 5 coins. The last one to sell in a major auction brought $4,406.00 in 09/2012 Heritage. Have only handled one other since! if you collect better GEM Saints, this is an unexpected toughie!
