$20 1897-S PCGS MS64

This is a beautiful handpicked piece that was lowered from an NGC MS64+ (sorry, no original tag). Clearly, this coin is above average to many 97S pieces we have seen. The surfaces are unusually clean and satiny smooth. Only with a strong glass can you find some light frost breaks and microscopic tick or two. There are actually slight traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. A full booming luster shows off really sweet original yellow/pale gold colors. There is a touch of toning-just a faint touch. Miss Liberty and the details are super frosty and are sharply struck. The eye appeal is clearly above average! PCGS 632, NGC 424, CAC 93.
