The obverse does have a few light ticks and marks-but nothing is serious enough to detract from the grade or eye appeal. A strong luster boldly enhances the deep original orange gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceedingly sharp strikes. The eye appeal is very catchy!
Only 39000 were minted. PCGS 13, NGC 6. The last one to sell at a major auction brought $19,550.00 08/07. Only PCGS has a single coin higher (an MS63) which sold for $69,000.00 in 11/05.
