$20 1865S PCGS MS64 BROTHER JONATHAN

Since so many 65S’s were so high end, the majority got broken out of their original holders. To us, those coins are now unworthy retreads. We ONLY buy these when they are in the Original PCGS holders with numbers and logo.

This coin is VERY HIGH END. Only under a strong glass can you see a few tiny ticks that keep it from full MS65 status. Overall, the surfaces appear smooth, clean, and even lustrous. The color is a beautiful two tone orange/light orange gold. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is fabulous! It is not often you get to own a genuine rare coin from a famous treasure ship!

PCGS 128, NGC 70. Approximately 400 $20 Lib’s of this date were found on the ship. Until they surfaced in 2000, this date was unheard of in choice/GEM. PCGS has graded only 22 in MS65. Auction records for nice 64’s go up to several selling for $16,100.00. Opportunity knocks loud here!
