We ONLY buy these when they are nice. More important, we ONLY buy them when they are still in their ORIGINAL holders-like this coin is!
We have seen similar coins in higher grade holders. We do believe this coin is high end, but it is an AU58+ at best. There are NO major marks anywhere. The wear is light and is well hidden. A few teenie ticks are scattered about. You really need a glass to see them. Surprisingly, some luster does still remain. It brings out the thick orange/deep gold colors. There are NO spots or discolorations on the high points. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 33, NGC 80, CAC 3. Take our word on this, you will NOT see many of these still in the ORIGINAL holder (that’s where a lot of value is). Plus, the fact there are only 3 with CAC beans out of a possible 113 coins graded makes a pretty strong statement as well. Regardless, if you want a real treasure ship coin, this maybe one of the most affordable pieces you can buy (at least for the Bro Jo coins)!
