$20 1853 PCGS AU58

We have seen far worse graded MS. We call this a SUPERB GEM AU because it has NO visible wear and looks great!

You can’t beat a totally ORIGINAL early $20. No question this coin was never dipped or messed with. The surfaces appear exceedingly clean to the naked eye (you can see a few ticks w/a glass) and have a semi satiny texture. A surprising luster shows off very pretty ORIGINAL orange gold colors. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have excellent strikes. Only with a strong glass can you find any traces of wear. The eye appeal is terrific!

PCGS 21, NGC 221, CAC 6. The last PCGS/CAC to sell in a major auction brought $5,299.00 08/2010 (2 years ago) B+M. These are not as easy to find as you might think. Too many have been ruined or have been hit by gradeflation. Finding a REAL SUPERB AU like this is VERY RARE!
