$2.5 1929 PCGS MS65

We recently sold one of these and only then realized how rare a PCGS CAC piece is. Until we owned that coin, we had not owned one for 2+ years. This coin is a legitimate GEM and is all there and then some, so of course we bought it!

An impressive bold luster greets you from across the room. We hardly ever see these with good luster. The surfaces are super clean and smooth. Even the dreaded reverse (where there are always lines or ticks) is seriously above average. The color is a brilliant yellow gold. There are NO spots. All of the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes.

PCGS 127, NGC 232, CAC 7. The fact CAC has only beaned 7 says a lot about the typical quality they see. NO PCGS/CAC MS65 has ever sold in a major auction to date. PCGS has only graded 3 coins higher (We paid over $50,000.00 for an MS66 in 2010). Opportunity knocks loud here if you are building a great $2.5 set!
