$2.5 1871 PCGS MS65

$33,500.00

WOW! The quality and eye appeal of this GEM are amazing!

Both sides are fully prooflike and also blaze with a powerful luster. Only with a glass can you see some very minor ticks/lines (as to be expected). To the naked eye the coin is VERY clean. The color is a rich gold. There are NO spots. Miss Liberty and the details do standout with thick gold frost. They are also fully struck. The eye appeal is phenomenal!

PCGS 2, NGC 1, CAC 1. NONE have been graded higher. There are only 7 graded by PCGS in MS64 and the mintage is only 5,320.

The ONLY auction record for an 1871 is for $27,025.00 in 02/2007 B+M. Prior to that, one last sold in 1999 for $18,400.00. The rarity of this coin can NOT be overstated. Plus, shouldn’t this be worth a lot more? A Wisconson Commem PCGS MS68+ with color just sold in the Heritage LB Sale for $30,000.00! Opportunity knocks super loud here!
