$2.5 1848 CAL PCGS AU53

We have never seen an AU this nice in any grade!

Absolutely stunning surfaces are ultra clean and have a satiny smooth texture. Even with a really strong glass, all you can find is a scattered light line or two. Some faint luster remains. Both sides are evenly covered with an ORIGINAL deeper orange gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. There is no real visible wear anywhere. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 3, NGC 1, CAC 1. How rare is this date and grade?? The last one to sell in auction-was in 2000! WOW is that ever a powerful statement about the coins rarity! You will have to take our word on this-the price guides are wrong. So few ever trade.

NOTE: yes, an AU 55 SOLD for $63,250.00 in 2011 Heritage. However the last AU53 SOLD in 2000 B+M. You will NOT find ANY in GEM AU. We had to pay a premium to buy this-and our mark up is LESS then 10%. We will happily buy all the PCGS CAC pieces in AU50-55 people can bring us!
