$2.5 1842-C PCGS AU58+

We have seen much worse puke called MS61! This coin is a PHENOMENAL kick butt coin! When we were going through a box, this coin stopped us dead in our tracks. It is not something we normally would buy, but its a coin we instantly feel madly in love with. We rarely see ANY C Mint gold this nice! Outrageous surfaces are beyond what you will typically see. Besides being seriously clean, they have original prooflike mirrors (ones you do not have to imagine). Unless you use a microscope, you won’t see any ticks or lines (ticks are really not there). The surfaces are not crusty either, but then this piece clearly has NOT been messed with in any way. Both sides are a GEM Original gold color with some light reddish gold toned highlights. There are NO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The wear is light and even. The eye appeal is PHENOMENAL! PCGS 3, NGC 8, CAC 4,. This is the ONLY AU58+ graded anywhere. We would not be shocked if this coin had been a regular 58 at some point. We can not crow enough how SUPERIOR this piece is to just about ANY C Mint of the same grade you will ever see. The majority of MS61’s do NOT like as crazy good as this piece. Seeing is believing!  The printed values are dead wrong for this most AU’s and even lower MS grades. Be glad this piece is not selling via auction!
