1C 1914D PCGS MS65RD

WOW! We rank this 14D an MS65.8. We remember buying it a few years ago (when the average 14D was $12,000.00) and paying $20,500.00. Back then, we did buy it from a world class “crack out” dealer who had tried it several times for an MS66RD. This coin has since been off the market for with the same collector who owned the 1915 1C Matte PR we are offering.

We can’t pinpoint any major reason for this coin just to be graded an MS65RD. Both sides offer nearly flawless and satiny surfaces. The luster is intense, while the color is a bold GEM ORIGINAL MINT RD. There are ZERO flecks or spots to be found even under magnification. Lincoln and all of the details are exceptionally sharply in strike. The eye appeal is magnificent!

While the pops may be a little high, we Are not sure how many times this piece is represented. PCGS 54, NGC 18. PCGS has graded only 3 higher-one of which traded hands for about $200,000.00 last year. You MUST see this coin to believe its VERY high end quality. Take our word on this, the collector who just sold it, won’t buy anything but the very,very, very highest end coins. The hard word has been for you! The last 14S to selling a major auction brought $27,025.00 07/08 B+M and the coins was NOT as nice as this one (we used to own the other one )!
