What a great quality coin! This piece is about 60% red and is VERY high end.
Deep mirrors are surpassingly crystal clear, are pretty clean, and have bold reflectivity. With a strong glass you can see some light irregular toning. The amount of GEM ORIGINAL Mint Red is clear to see. A dose of pale brown resides on the reverse. Every detail is frosty and have a needle sharp strike. The eye appeal is wonderful!
ONLY 500 were minted of this Civil War era date. PCGS 21, NGC 31, CAC 4. There is NO record of any PCGS CAC piece ever selling at auction. The last PCGS to sell did bring $1,880.00 08/2012 Stacks. Opportunity does knock really loud here!
