One of the rarest coins that exists! If this were any other metal, it would be selling for much more!
We call this coin “as struck” because it undoubtedly sat somewhere for over 154 years untouched. Time did it well. Even the EAC guys graded it PR66 (its unheard of them liking anything). The surfaces are fully ORIGINAL GEM faded Mint Red. Only a few teenie toning dots are visible-there are NO flecks or problems. Both sides do have decent mirrors and luster. Miss Liberty is needle sharp in strike and has light frost. The eye appeal is totally jaw dropping!
ONLY 238 pieces were ever minted. PCGS 2, NGC 0, CAC 1. Most survivors are in Brown. This coin sold for $63,250.00 in Naftzger. We thought it was a steal then, we’re more convinced now!
