We do nt think we have seen ANY Naftzger Large Cent we did not like. These really are amazing coins. This is the Large Date variety.
Perfect surfaces are smooth and do have a decent luster (for an 1857). There are NO spots or discolorations. The colors are GEM Mint Red and pale navy/brown. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and well struck. The eye appeal is amazing!
PCGS 3, NGC 5, CAC 3. These are NOT BID valued coins. The last one (which was a variety) sold at major auction brought $18,400.00 at the Naftzger sale in 2009. Others have sold for $3,220.00 and $3,335.00. We regard this as an important opportunity for ANY serious Large Cent collector!
