We were shocked to see this SUPERB GEM back on the market so fast after we had just placed it in a Type set. Typical to a newer collector, their tastes had changed.
We could not get this unbelievable SUPERB MONSTER GEM out of our heads. If you could dream up what the perfect Brown Large Cent would look like, this coin is it!
ULTRA HIGH END quality. No picture does this monster justice. Both sides are highly lustrous and reveal NO flaws anywhere. In fact they seem to appear slight semi-prooflike. The colors are an ORIGINAL faded Mint Red/pale steel chocolate brown color. Plenty of mint frost can be seen all over. There is no question this coin has never been messed with. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is what you’d expect from a totally MONSTER GEM!
PCGS 2, NGC 10, CAC 2. The last time it sold (back in January) it brought $16,450.00 01/2013 Stacks (the coin is actually Ex Cardinal). If you are building the ultimate Type set or Large Cent Collection, this coin is definitely a “must have”! You will NOT see many others (or ANY date) in MS67 ever offered.
