1C 1851 PCGS MS65RD N-10 NAFTZGER

$13,750.00

What in the world was PCGS thinking when they graded this? We can not make any guarantees, but if this isn’t a 66RD, then what is (a 67 in a 66 holder?). You MUST see it to believe it!

The surfaces are absolutely FLAWLESS. There isn’t even a microscopic imperfection to be found. A strong luster shows off not only the satiny texture of the surfaces, but the GEM ORIGINAL MINT RED color that blazes all over. There are no signs of fading and you can tell the color is quite stable. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptionally sharp strikes. The eye appeal is so incredible, you’ll spend days trying to get your eye balls back in their sockets!

PCGS 17, NGC 8, CAC 4. PCGS has graded NONE higher. Even Noyes graded this coin MS69, while the crazed EAC gods called it a 67 in the original Naftzger sale. In the original Naftzger sale, we dropped out of bidding when this broke $20,000.00. It sold for $24,150.00 09/2009. Then it reappeared in the Cardinal sale and brought a weak $10,575.00 01/2013 Stack. An average 1851 PCGS MS65RD brought $8,225.00 08/2014 heritage. Not just because of the pedigree, this coin is special in EVERY respect when compared to ANY other GEM RED Large Cent for the Type! We can not stress how much opportunity knocks here for the Large cent lover!
