1C 1849 PCGS MS66BN N-7 NAFTZGER

$5,250.00

What a stunning “deep dish” like appearance this coin has. It also has a healthy dose of Mint red color!

Amazingly, this GEM ORIGINAL coin is semi-prooflike and glossy. The obverse is a GEMMY brown/pale mint red around the devices. The reverse is a spectacular brown/pale blue. There are NO real marks (only one teenie tick). The luster is really strong. Miss Liberty is well struck-although there is slight weakness in the stars. Regardless, the eye appeal of this coin is SPECTACULAR!

PCGS 4, NGC 4, CAC 2. This coin was lot 920 in the sale. It brought a cheap $4,140.00. We believe he paid $3,250.00 for this coin from our good friend Tony Terranova in 1991. Today, there are a total of 4 MS66BN’s graded with NONE higher by PCGS. There are NO RB’s either. Why a coin like this especially from 1849 isn’t $10,000.00 is a mystery to us. You are certainly not going to see many of these offered as time goes on!
