1C 1849 PCGS MS65RB

This is a duplicate from one of the major collections of Large Cents that exists. The collector just bought many high grade large Cents at the Naftzger Sale for upgrades.

This is an extremely underrated date in MS. We are pleased to have purchased this nice GEM.

Both sides are exceptionally smooth and clean. There are some TINY Mint made planchet chips and ticks hidden on the left obverse field. A surprisingly luster shows off highlights of GEM Mint Red color that frame all the features. The coin is about 15% original mint Red. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is unbeatable!

PCGS 11, NGC 6, CAC 1. This coin is housed in an older green tag PCGS holder. The ONLY auction record we can find was from 1/06 where one sold at a Heritage sale for $6,900.00. The published prices on this date are insanely low!
