Yet again another spectacular Ex Naftzger coin that could have been graded higher.
The ONLY defects we could find: a toning stain in the left obverse field and a few planchet irregularities. Lord only knows what was in the graders coffee the day these coins came through. A surprisingly full luster also shows off the mostly GEM Mint Red colors. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is really gorgeous!
PCGS 7, NGC 3, CAC 2. PCGS has graded only 5 coins higher (one is a 66). This was lot 629 from the Goldberg Naftzger sale in 09/2009. That was the sale where the coins went way too cheap! Opportunity knocks loud here!
