1C 1831 PCGS PR64BN

We have been madly in love with this coin ever since we first saw it 20years ago. We have stalked it and waited until it came out of its most recent collection. If we did not just buy a few big coins, heck ya this coin would never be offered! It is one of the most AMAZING coin EVER minted!

This coin is total proof (pardon that pun) that when the Mint wanted to make a real Proof back in the 1830’s, they knew how too. Ultra deep and incredibly crystal clear mirrors look like the cleanest freshest formed sheet of ice you will ever see. They are pristine and have tremendous reflectivity. A marvelous mix of stunning blue/gold/chocolate colors all swirl around both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are all frosty and fully struck. The stars do show some minor weakness due to irregular striking pressure (that might be why PCGS won’t designate it a PR65). The eye appeal is INCREDIBLE!

There are NO mintage figures available. It is safe to guess this coin has FEWER minted than a 1894S 10C (24 made). PCGS 2, NGC 3, CAC 1. The last time a 1831 PR sold at auction was in 2008. That coin realized $30,475.00 Stacks. We think this should be worth an easy $75,000.00 between its undisputed rarity and MONSTER qualities.
