We are well known “secret copper weenies”. When ever we see really nice early copper like this-we do our best to buy it. When we saw this piece, we had to have it!
Most important, this coin was NEVER messed with in ANY way (including being camel hair brushed). The surfaces are really pristine-even when using a strong glass. This coin was clearly struck and a problem free planchet. Both sides are an ORIGINAL and even chocolate brown color. You can detect tiny traces of Mint Red around a few stars. There are NO spots. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is exceptional!
