Using the most powerful glass will yield you no real problems. We can not stress enough how clean this coin is. The planchet has no problems. The surfaces are smooth, ultra clean, glossy (the equivalent of luster), and are a stunning original even brown color. Miss Liberty and the details are remarkably struck. They look like they have been carved by a fine knife! We’re not too sure why this is not a MS64. We unhesitatingly call this coin the BEST MS63 we have ever seen!
The last MS63 at a major auction was back in 2002. In 09/08 Goldbergs, an MS64BN sold for $224,250.00. PCGS 6, NGC 4.
