If we are lucky, once every decade we handle a nice Chain Cent. This coin came to us via the purchase of a fantastic Early Type set. The collector was very careful in the coins he chose for inclusion.
Both sides are surprisingly clean. Even using a strong glass you will not find anything significant. The planchet is actually decent and show little to no pitting. A glossy brown/dark brown color covers both sides. This is NOT a messed with coin. Miss Liberty and the details are amazingly struck-you do not need a glass to see the minor details! We can’t stress enough how good looking this coin is in person. NO picture can do it justice!
Not a common coin by any stretch. PCGS 3, NGC 3. PCGS has graded only 8 coins higher.
