1881 $1 Gold Dollar Type 3 PCGS MS68 (CAC)

It takes a lot for a coin to be both graded high and beaned. One look and you can tell this coin is more than worthy of its lofty designation.

Remarkably clean and smooth surfaces have slight traces of semi-prooflike mirrors. There is a full booming luster all over. Both sides are a gorgeous deeper yellow original color. There are no spots or discolorations anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and have delicate frost. The eye appeal is bold!

PCGS 43, NGC 32, CAC 23. We bought this out of the FUN Sale for $10,500.00 because we felt it went too cheap. The coin that sold before it-in 2018 brought $12,000.00.We can not say we have seen these in any frequency. It is still a rare obsolete, HIGH GRADE, and 140 year old gold coin! Opportunity knocks loud here!
