Technically this coin is all there and then some. PCGS just probably wanted it to walk and talk a little more for it to be a full PR67!
Absolutely perfect mirrors (and we mean perfect) are deep, crystal clear, clean, and have bold reflectivity. In the days of “raw” coins we could see this piece being labeled a PR67. Both sides have a wonderful mix of ORIGINAL navy/olive/deep gold colors (like the kind you see on ORIGINAL proof sets). Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is wonderful!
ONLY 675 pieces were minted. PCGS 18, NGC 19, CAC 7. PCGS has graded only 2 coins PR66+ and NO PR66+ have ever sold at auction. As you know, we think coins like this are a steal today!
