Everything about this coin is of phenomenal quality! There is NO question to us this coin was carefully stored immediately after it left the bank in some kind of tissue paper.
Deep mirrors are easy to see. They are also ultra clean, have good clarity, and do offer strong reflectivity. A moderate mix of totally original deep pewter/lavender/pale purple/reddish colors colors are splashed all over. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have needle sharp strikes. The eye appeal is very nice!
ONLY 731 were minted. PCGS 3, NGC 5, CAC 2. This coin was purchased by us dirt cheap for $8,225.00 during our Dec 2014 Regency Sale (hey we can buy bargains too-the consignor just wanted out). The last auction appearance for ANY PR68 1897 10C-was back in 06/2004! That coin sold for $10,350.00. It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to buy ANY PR68 Barber 10C for BELOW $10,000.00. In fact, we have several in stock we paid over $15,000.00 for. Since we obviously bought it right-we’ll sell it right. There will be one happy new owner!
