Sometimes PCGS just leaves us wondering. This coin should have at the VERY least been a PR66+. What was PCGS thinking-we don’t think we missed anything!
The mirrors are superior. They are deep, crystal clear, PERFECTLY clean, and have full reflectivity. They look like a freshly made sheet of ice. Gorgeous ORIGINAL colors of icy blue/purple/violet swirl all over. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is incredible!
Only 731 were ever minted. PCGS 34, NGC 35, CAC 6. Hard to believe no 1897 PCGS/CAC pieces have ever sold at auction. We are still as bullish as ever on ALL PR 64-67 Barber coins as sets. This would be a great one to include!
